Having qualified in 2006, Sonia has a large bank of professional work experience. Her areas of work include Statutory Audit, Internal Audit and Tax Audit, Compliance Reviews and Financial Due Diligence reviews.

Sonia has spent over five years of her professional career with the following organisations:

•  Price Waterhouse (PW), Mumbai: As a part of their Financial Services Industry Assurance Practice she gathered valuable experience working with Asset Management Companies, PE Funds, NBFCs, and ITES companies for over three years.

• Credit Suisse Services (India) Pvt Ltd, Pune: As a part of the Group Internal Audit team for over an year she gained national and international exposure doing internal audit of various businesses and processes. She was one of the key members in setting up the Internal Audit team in India.

• S. R. Batliboi & Co.(EY), Mumbai: As a part of their Banking and Financial Services Industry Assurance Practice she audited some of India’s biggest Private Banks and other International Banks in India.

She finally decided to start practicing and set up Dawar & Co in 2011.

 

Richa Chaudhary, M.Com, FCA.

Richa is the Tax Expert at Dawar & Co.

After completing her articleship with Deloitte Haskins & Sells, Mumbai she continued working with them in the Assurance department for about a year. Her core areas of work here were Internal Audit, Statutory Audit & Regulatory Compliances.

After that she moved to the Tax and Transfer Pricing practice of Ernst & Young, Mumbai. Its here that she worked in the areas of Tax Compliance Review, Transfer Pricing Documentation and litigation and Tax Advisory and decided that this would be her core specialisation. She has worked with some of the large companies such as Bausch & Lomb, ITC Hotels, LG Electronics, Morgan Stanley, etc.

After practicing as an independent Chartered Accountant in Kolkata for about a year, she joined Dawar & Co. and runs the Delhi NCR office from June 2014. She is also the ICAI Certified GST Consultant.

Manish Bajaj, B.Com, FCA.

Having donned the roles as a Senior Manager and AVP with his earlier employers, his vast experience is a bonus for the Firm.

Manish started his career with PriceWaterhouse, Mumbai where he worked with the Assurance department for five years. He managed a number of Statutory Audit and Tax Audit assignments as a Assistant Manager there.
From there he moved to Edelweiss Financial Services Limited, the leading listed financial services company. He handled the Accounting and Finance functions of all broking entities (retail and institutional) and one NBFC as the Legal Entity Controller.

Later he joined Credit Suisse Services (India) Pvt Ltd, Pune as a Assistant Vice President in the Financial Accounting team and helped migrate Life & Pension entities to India. Apart from managing the Pune Office, his specialisation in Internal Control systems and Accounting makes him an indispensable part of the firm.
